If you want to find out whether you have a case, you should try to obtain a diagnosis of what is wrong with your arm first. You may have a nerve injury, so try a neurologist. If you have an injury to your arm that can be documented medically, and if there is documentation in your medical records that the nurse unsuccessfully attempted to insert an IV line at the time that you first started having this problem with your arm, then you may have a case. An attorney should be willing to review your medical records in detail to make this determination.
