Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

In about 1991 I was working in the Operating room . I had been pregnant and they continued to have me work in the or. I experienced a miscarriage in my 3rd trimester. My doctors thought nothing of it and encouraged me to try again. I did, I also kept working and experienced another miscarriage in my 3rrd trimester. The doctors ran test and blood work and sent the fetus to out for chromasomal testing. All came back normal. I went back to work. I do remember having to hand clean our instruments and etc... I, also had another miscarraige in my 3rd trimester. I then went to a private OB doctor and was tested every week with blood work and other test. I was pregnant again and he continued the tests. All was well. I continued to wor in the or. No one told me other wise... I was young. This time our daughter, Gretchen, was born with trisomy 18 and died 10 days later. None of the specialist picked this up during my pregnancy and we all thought that everything was oki. It was not until

I was in the hospital for hours they decided something was wrong and the baby was in trouble and the whisked me into an emergency c-section. Bitter sweet moment.

I do believe that the work environment had some great effect on my miscarraiges and Gretchen. After that, I left the or and then had 3 beautiful healthy children. I do not believe that is a coincidence. I know it has been some time, but I am doing research for an outpatient surgical center and all the risks with gases and hazardous exposures is educating me. I had no idea there coul be a link.

What do you think?

Any claims of this nature must be filed in court within 3 years of the time time of the event which you contend caused the injury, or within 3 years of when you should have discovered the injury. The loss of your daughter occurred too long ago to meet this test. It would have been extremely difficult and expensive to prove in any event.
