Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

Auto Accident Settlement

I was rear-ended at a red light in October and went through 3 months of phisical therapy. My vehicle damage was minor (1,500) but my medical bills have reached 3,500. I think I will be settling with the other Insurance company soon, what a would be resonable amount to request for medical bills and pain and suffering?

Re: Auto Accident Settlement

It is impossible to say what a reasonable settlement might be without knowing all of the facts. What I can say is that it is virtually impossible that you will receive a fair settlement unless you have a lawyer representing you. Insurance companies are in the business of paying out the least amount they can get away with, and they have trained negotiators whose job it is to pay you as little as possible. Without a lawyer, you are simply not going to have a fair chance.
