Re: liability

A person who is injured can sue anyone involved. Whether she will be successful is another story.

It is likely that any claim for damages will be made to the limo company, who in turn will turn the claim over to its insurance company. Hopefully, the company has already notified the insurance company of the potential claim. Even if the woman sues you, she will also sue the limo company, who is the deep pocket here. At that point, the insurance company would probably settle and/or fight and provide attorneys for both the company and you.

However, it is better to discuss the matter with the limo company. Thereafter, if you don't feel comfortable, consult your own attorney.
