Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maryland

My father passed away, before his funeral, I informed his wife that there were things his children and grand children wanted. Two days after the funeral, I called my father's wife to inform her of the

some things we wanted, and to let her her know that we will called her prior to

coming down. I was told by her, that she has begun to give his things away...without speaking to us first. I live in MD, along with my sister and brother. We need to know how we can stop this, and regain possession of the things that has been given away? My father did not have a will, he lived and is buried in Fla.
