Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maryland

Hi there- I am in Maryland. I received a citation last Thursday for CDS paraphernalia possession. I just received a letter in the mail for my court date for this citation charge. However, on both the citation from the cop and the letter I received today my first and last name is misspelled, which therefore does not show my history. I am on unsupervised probation until February for PBJ for a DUI or DWI and a CDS paraphernalia possession and CDS marijuana possession. However they put that on the STET dock I believe and I did a 4-5 month IPSA Montgomery County substance abuse program. I need some help- I am worried what will happen and the fact that it was not mine does not help. The clerk or whoever for the citation in court won't believe that or that it is not mine or I don't smoke (which is all true by the way).

If you are on probation for a past charge and are facing a new charge, you should absolutely hire a lawyer or, if you cannot afford one, seek to have one appointed. You should not handle this on your own -- particularly if you have a valid defense.
