Award

When an insurance company offers to settle but to still keep the case open for medical benefits, can you get awarded anymore money if the disability gets worse?

If you enter into a FINAL settlement with open medicals, you will not be entitled to further disability benefits if your condition worsens. If you enter into a stipulation based upon an agreed upon disability rating, and in the future (within 5 years) you receive a higher rating from your doctor, you can file a motion to modify the earlier award and seek further benefits.
