Legal Question in Workers Comp in Maryland

Steps to take when injured for compensation

My husband injured his foot in work. His injury is a crush injury to the foot. It is a small company. How do we know we are getting all benifits due him, for his injury, and his ruined summer. He cannot do any of the things we usually due. What are the steps we should follow and do we need a lawyer? Will it cost us anything? What about expenses for bandages, and travel to and from the Doctors?

Re: Steps to take when injured for compensation

In a Worker's Compensation injury, your husband should be re-imbursed for all medical expenses, including medication, bandages, and travel expenses. If he has an injury from which he will not heal 100% then he should seek the advice of an Attorney NOW! Don't wait. The Attorney's fee will be set by the commission, usually 20% of the amount recovered from the insurance carrier from the award of the Commission. There is no up front attorney fee from you to the lawyer. Please give me a call if you need more assistance (410-828-9363)
