Legal Question in Technology Law in Massachusetts

Phone messages posted on the internet

I have started a small website where people can upload their messages that their drunk friends have left. It started out as a small site for my friends but I am getting request to post other peoples messages. I have a registration form and a small terms page, but I am concerned of the legality of people posting messages from their voice mails. Is there a certain process I need to take to make sure that I am not legally binded by the content? Or should I filter out certain messages? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Phone messages posted on the internet

This is a new one. I don't think there are privacy rights in phone messages. So long as you don't use any names, you should be ok. You might do well to get a release signed by everyone involved in uploading specifically.
