Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

early car lease termination

Hi, I signed a lease for a car a few weeks ago and it turns out that the sales guy lied to me,. He told me that I would be getting all these extra options with my car, which turned out to be a big lie. I just want to dump this dealership and have nothing to do with them. I've had the car for 2 weeks. What is the law in MA for lease termination under 30 days?

Re: early car lease termination

You could file a "93A" letter with the dealership telling them that you will file suit in 30 days if they fail to terminate the lease. Rather than get involved in litigation and possible damage to their business reputation, they might be open to your demand.

I am not aware of any "right of rescission" unless so specified in the contract you signed.

Please contact me if you wish to discuss this fully.
