Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

Stolen Credit Card

The Fraud Dept of our bank notified me that there was suspicious activity on my credit card. After some investigation, it looks like an employee of a local Jiffy Lube stole the card from my vehicle. The employee used it at a small local business and is in the process of being identified by that merchant. Does Jiffy Lube have any responsibility for the theft of my credit card since the employee was working for them at the time of the theft?

Re: Stolen Credit Card

Why don't you just pursue your right to have the credit card reverse the charge - you did not sign a receipt. The company may be liable but if amount is small, why bother. It costs money to pursue legal rights.
