ex g freind lied about having hep c put me at risk had our son.
i met my ex in jan 07 on our first date we went back to my place started talking i eplained to her that i had been recently tested for hiv and hep c and was neg 4 both and had the results sheet, she said she was neg 4 both 2 and had the same paper at home, never did see that paper. fast forward to feb 08. her 6 month pre natel exam. her dr says in front of me that her hep c viral load is low. my jaw dropped. i was tested i am neg. my son is 11 months old now and i don't know if he has contracted hep c from his mother or not. can be tested after a year so my ex says. this is my 1st child i am no longer with her she wont let me see him. i am an emotional wreck, extremly depressed dont work dont get out of bed some days. i am so scared that my son has hepatitus c. is there any legal recourse for her knowingly and willingly putting me and my son at risk? thank you for your time.

There is not much you can do. Theoretically this could impact custody and other issues in a paternity action.
If you have money, you could file a civil suit against her.
