Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Parole Violation

My boyfriend was on probation and

had ten days left he assaulted me

and was arrested. His probation

officer sent me a letter saying I had

to go to court or I will have a

warrant for my arrest. When I got

there I told him that I will not testify

for him and say the police report was

correct because I felt as though it

was not. The police said they seen

him throw me when I remember

running out and seeing them they

had not seen anything. Well my

point is that the probation officer said

to the judge that he had the police

officer there and the victim there to

testify that the report was correct.

Well they sent him to jail which

probably was going to happen but his

probation officer gave false testimony

can he do that and still put him in

jail? I thought that if they lied and it

is proven the case is no good? Can

you please help me?

Re: Parole Violation

Sounds like you never got the chance to testify. It is not right what happened to you but you are right, the government probably had enough evidence to violate him even without your testimony.
