what is the time limit from when you are arrested to when you have your bail hearing? can they hold you indefinitly?

They can not hold you indefinitely. There are many different cases that deal with this issue and it really depends upon many factors. A clerk-magistrate needs to be called by the police department once booking is completed.I really need to know more about individual case to give you an answer. Martha Kovner
