Legal Question in DUI Law in Massachusetts

pool party

I have my grandson at my pool with his friends. I know they are drinking. Some are under 21. What is my legal responsebilty if any. I am not supply the booze.

Since you know they are drinking, you have an obligation to put a stop to it. Criminal issues aside, you can be sued if one of these children is involved in a car accident after drinking at your home.

I agree with Ray. This is extremely serious. You can be subject to civil and criminal problems.

You cannot allow your grandson to drink at your pool side; you cannot allow others to drink there. If he refuses to listen, you can ask him and his friends to leave. If they refuse, you can and probably should call the police.
