Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Can after 13 years a father get out of child support of a child he knew was not his biological child but was married at the time and willingly signed the birth certificate? Can a DNA be court ordered upon the child at the age of 13? He also abandoned the child approx. 2 years ago after he remarried and has not called or showed for a single visitation.

Although there are always exceptions, as a general rule, once a person admits paternity and causes the child to believe he is the father, the courts won't allow the issue of paternity to be raised again. After 13 years, the court is not likely to change the legal father even if the biological father becomes known.
