Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

child support payment

I am interested in finding out how much approximately is the child support per month for a 9 month baby for an annual income of 90,000. The parents are separated but not divorced. Is it determined based on income? The amount does not have to be exact, I just want to get an idea. Thank you very much for your cooperaiton

Re: child support payment

You can get a copy of the child support guidelines from your county Probate and Family Court. Both parents incomes are used in calculating the amount of the support payment, however assuming you have no income and the other parent has $90,000 in income plus insurance, then the child support payment would be about $389.00 subject to adjustment for health insurane if entitled to coverage.
