Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I have been divorced since 2003. My wife continues to limit communications between my son and I. She made my son call her new husband "dad" and would punish him if he didn't. I told my son, "Call him dad, but we both know I am your father." This made him feel better. I had received court ordered nightly phone calls and he asked me not to call him because she was punishing him whenever I did. Now he has turned fourteen and she got him a facebook account and email address. When he added me to both she turned around and BLOCKED me and my family from contacting him in this way. Is what she is doing legally wrong by some statute and is there any legal course of action that I have to correct this? He wants as much contact with my side of the family as he can get. She has denied him this from day one.

I assume you received visitation rights when you divorced. Your ex's behavior is not appropriate and you can petition the court for an order to obtain more contact with your son or even seek physical custody.

I do not handle this type or case, but I do have a partner who does. I would contact your original divorce attorney for assistance. If you have additional questions, please feel free to call me.

Assuming you have visitation from your divorce decree that would prohibit the behavior described the appropriate measure would be to file a Complaint for Contempt. Essentially, you are saying that your ex-wife is not following the orders of the Court and asking the court to enforce these orders. This will likely solve your problem.
