Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I am still legally married and my husband was just notified of a settlement that he will get for an accident that he was in when we first separated about 1 1/2 ago but he needs my signature to receive the check......My first question is why is my signature needed and second can his lawyer legally tell me approximately how much my husband will end up with? Thank you for any help with this.

The settlement includes a waiver of your rights of loss of consortium. If you are signing the settlement agreement, it should state the total amount of the settlement and if you are signing it you are entitled to know the terms of settlement.
