Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

in Massachusettes, If my 18 years old unwed son is on birth cert for his baby (girlfriend lives with her parents and is 17), is he required to provide health insurance. If baby and girlfriend continute to live with her parents can the parents provide health insurance for daughter AND baby. What if his name is not on Birth Cert? How does this impact health insurance? thx

Hello,

If your son has health insurance available to him, at a lower cost then any other health ins. available to your child than yes he would be responsible for providing the health ins., however he would be credited for providing health insurance on the child support order.
