How does a person who has joint custody of a child under 12yrs of age go about moving to another state?

the person either gets permission from the other parent, or seeks permission from the Court.

Without either, it should not be done.

File a Complaint for Modification of the Visitation rights and request the permission of the court and the other parent to move the child out of state upon showing it will be in the best interest of the child. Good Luck!
