I am in a civil case that was recently dismissed without prejudice because the plaintiff chose not to submit a status update form to the court before the deadline. does the following statute of limitations apply to my case?

It appears that the statute you reference would apply to your situation, except that if the original statute of limitations on the matter had not expired, it is doubtful that the plaintiff would be limited by the one year time frame. I have not researched this point, and will be interested in the comments of others.

I don't think it applies.

I also agree that it appears that it does not apply however it would be in the hands of the court. In any instance a case should be filed ASAP
