Legal Question in Immigration Law in Massachusetts

i have been having a hard time throughout the years trying to get a green card. I have been here since i was a few days old, i am now 43, was given a green card then and was issued a ssn as a child. unfortunately my green card was lost in a fire a few years later. I still have my social security card. am i already a citizen, do i continue to file for a green card?

If you are already a citizen, then you don't have to apply to renew a destroyed green card.

If, however, you are not a citizen, you must renew it.

Why do you think you can be a US citizen already? What about your parents: are they naturalized US citizens? If yes, when did they naturalize (date) and how old you were at that time?
