Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Criminal charges?

I recently went through a civil case for sexual harassment, discrimination (ada, hearing impairment) and retaliation for filing the claim. I won the civil case...although the jury did say yes to sexual harassment, but no to a hostile work environment..shouldn't the sexual harassment finding be upheld in my behalf?? Also, the discrimination was put into the retaliation that also included the use of toxic chemicals, fumes, etc that caused me to become ill. Dog feces left on my rug at work, feces left in the toilet and smeared all over along with urine...and much more outrageous misconduct. I now suffer from anxiety/panic/agoraphobia due to this. The case was against the city and two bosses. Can I take the case to Federal Court in some way and continue fighting due to them continuing to use the cleaners, etc to cause me more harm? How can I take it to Federal Court?? It would seem that I should be able to fight the intentional harm under criminal law. Thank you

Re: Criminal charges?

Your civil case would be over if damages have been awarded to you and no one has appealed. On the criminal side, I don't think you have shown that anyone violated the criminal law. You don't go to Federal Court in any case. You go to file a complaint at your local district court. However, the court is generally unwilling to pursue a matter that is essentially civil in nature.
