Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

I am an employee at Bestbuy in North Attleboro MA. If an employee is scheduled until 9:30 at night and they lock the doors on the building and refuse to let people leave, is that legal? I dont want to make a big stink about it, but i believe it is against the law to hold someone past their scheduled time without their consent. What if someone had somewhere to be that was an emergency and could not leave due to the doors in the store being locked?

I agree that is is a violation of the firecode.

Moreover, locking people can under some circumstances be considered a form of restraint or kidnapping.
