Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Last month my employer abrutptly changed the "Employee Handbook" from "Eligible employees will be paid for any earned but unused vacation upon termination" to "Unused vacation will not be paid" Last week I was let go after more then 9 years and he refused to pay my earned, unused vacation time citing the "New Handbook" rules.... I live in Mass, do I have a case to recover my vacation pay?
