Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

i'm a promo model, i had been hired to work a tradeshow in Boston by agency in LA, now agency disapear and client i worked for , saying they have nothing to do with me not being paid. So the question is can i suit the client of the agency based on dual employment principal, because client was the one who was telling me when to come , how to dress, what to do , and how long to stay for?
