Promotion / Raise

Does a employee have a right to negotiate his promotion/raise. Can the employee decline the promotion/raise if he feels the position is not worth it and not get fired.

Massachusetts is an at-will employment jurisdiction. That means that an employee can quit at any time and be let go at any time for ANY lawful reason.

You have the right to refuse a promotion, and (without more facts or information) the employer has the right to terminate you.
