Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

How can I collect a judgment I won in Housing Court against a former landlord who is "Judgement Proof." Her income is Social Security and her property has been listed as a Homestead.

My advice would be to retain counsel and file the lien against her home anyway. Some homesteads are not done properly, and a homestead only protects the home you live in. When the house is transferred, refinanced, or sold, the lien will need to be paid. You should record the lien and wait her out if there is no other likely source of recovery.
