Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

Realtor entering the apartment prior to end of tenancy

My landlord is going through a realtor and they have already started showing the apartment i live in when we have over 3 months of tenancy left. They consistently give us less than two hours notice before they are coming over and i am trying to find out whether or not they have the right to do this.

I know that i have the right to require sufficient advanced notice, but even if i get them giving me 24 hour notice, it's still going to be a pain this soon before i actually leave. Is there anything stating that they only have the right to do this 1 month before i leave? Anything?

Re: Realtor entering the apartment prior to end of tenancy

First look at your lease. The lease should indicate how soon before your lease ends when they can show the property. Absent a specific limit, 90 days before an apartment or home is up for lease is not an unreasonable period.

They should give you at least 24 hours notice and preferably 48 hours notice.

I hope this was helpful to you.
