Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

I live in a condominium of 3 units. My share is the smallest. We have not had a condominium meeting for ~ 3 years.

Unbeknown to me the other two owners hired painters to paint the buildings. The last time they did so, they told the painters to paint their units and not mine. Then they sent me the bill.And I had to pay it.

They just did the same thing again, but this time my unit was included. No condo meetings, and when I asked for a financial report they refused. The paint cost came to many thousands of dollars more than expected I guess and now there is a substantial assessment. They just sent me a note telling me my share and saying it was due in 48 hours. ! What is my position here?
