Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

What are my rights as the owner of a piece of property through which an easement is granted that allows egress and ingress to a neighbor? Do I have the right to amend the size, shape or compostion of a driveway that passes through the easement?

If this is a written easement, any language in that document on the subject would control. In general, you can't do anything which would impede your neighbor's ability to use the right of way. It is the neighbor's obligation to maintain and repair the easement. Of course, it would be best if you had a discussion with the neighbor and decide who is going to do what.
