Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

claim on deceased estate

If a person who has passed away owes me money for rent and property damages, and a very specific list with invoices and police report were sent to the attorney handling probate, yet this attorney who requested my info. has continued to avoid all of my correspondence regarding my claim, and has allowed the one year probate time to elapse, how do I go about getting my portion of the allocation for debts from him?

Re: claim on deceased estate

If you did not file a timely claim against the estate in probate court your claim may be barred by the one year limitation from the date of death, unless you can prove fraud. Good Luck!
