My daughter died recently. No will, only asset is a car. To close a bank account (no money), gmail. etc., I need power of attorney. What do I do?

I am so sorry about your loss.

The bank is mistaken. A power of attorney would enable you to transact business on behalf of your daughter if she were still alive. Because she is deceased, she cannot grant you those powers. You will need to probate her estate with the court and have yourself appointed administratrix of her estate. Based on your description of her estate, you will likely be able to use the quicker and cheaper 'small estate'/voluntary administration process.
