Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

Do I have to probate my husband's will w/in 6 months in the state of MA -He died and our will states that I am the primary (spouse) beneficiary and don't know if I have to probate "our" will w/in 6 months in MA? THANKS

Yes you have to probate the Will, even if you are the primary or sole beneficiary of his estate, you still need to probate the Will. If you would like assistance with this please feel free to call me.

I'm sorry to hear you have lost your husband. Technically, you are required to probate the will of your deceased husband within 30 days, but people frequently miss this deadline. There is no such thing as a joint will, so each of you would be required to have your own. If you have not yet made one, you should do so.
