Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

Can you transfer a Florida condo into a Massachusetts Irrevocable trust when trust says the Trust will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and if the original deed was a Warranty Deed, does it have to be done by Warranty Deed or will a quitclaim deed suffice.

Yes, I believe, you can transfer a Florida condo into a Massachusetts Irrevocable Trust governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I am not sure exactly why you would do that. If it is for estate planning purposes, you may want to reconsider. Florida's estate tax laws are much better than Massachusetts. You can use any type of deed to transfer the property.
