Legal Question in Disability Law in Michigan

Pre-employment discrimination

A potential employer had me go through 4 interviews and then a psychological evaluation which asked questions such as, ''Do you feel like the world would be better off without you?'' and ''true or false, you feel like hurting or killing yourself sometimes.'' It also asked about my alcohol consumption in-depth wanting to know if I'd been confronted about my problem and so on. I was notified that I did not get hired. Do I have a right to obtain a copy of my results? And isn't it illegal for an employer to ask me questions of that nature prior to making an offer? Thank you.

Re: Pre-employment discrimination

What you describe sounds like the type of impermissible questions that an employer should not ask during the interview process. You may want to discuss this case with an attorney with experience in handling employment matters. You can check out the website www.nela.org to locate an attorney who handles employment matters in your area.
