Legal Question in Disability Law in Michigan

Pregnancy Leave

I have worked for my current employeer for the last 7 years. I am pregnant, due mid November. My employeer has 30 employees, so don't qualify for FMLA. I can take up to 8 weeks off unpaid, as stated in company policy. I am a full time employee and my question is my maternity leave of 8 weeks. It will fall during Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. 6 paid holidays. If I am on medical leave/unpaid maternity leave, do I still get paid for those holidays. I have carefully reviewed our company policy, and nothing is stated in there one way or another.

Re: Pregnancy Leave

If the contract between you and your employer is not clear, get it in writing BEFORE you take your leave. It is unlikely you'll get to double dip on the vacation, but try it.
