Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Michigan

Circuit Court Divorce Judgment Appeal to Higher Court

My wife is an illegal alien and does not work. I am a legal permanent resident of this country. In a divorce case, the Judge ordered me to pay my wife's spousal support of $420 a week plus my wife's attorney's fee of $2000. Can I appeal this one to the Michigan Appeal Court or Michigan Supreme Court. Why should I pay my wife's attorney's fee? Since my wife is an illegal alien, she is not entitled to any legal aid. Why should I pay her sposal support?
