Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan

No Compete Forms

I signed a no compete clause with a company, and I had to sign it to get the job. I had the job for 13 months with no reprimands at all in fact I quit the company after 4 months and they hired me back after 3 weeks of being gone. After I came back I worked there for 8 more months and they fired me with no good reason. And now someone else wants to hire me but my old company won't let me out of the no compete clause is this legal for them to do?

Re: No Compete Forms

If the noncompete clause is reasonable, then it would likely be upheld by a court. You could always take the new job, and take the risk that your previous employer would not sue you.
