Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan

I own a small corporation in Michigan. I conduct business on my website where I attract purchases from all over the country. I am also considering going on the road by traveling city to city. I would be staying in each city for a few days in a hotel. My product will be stored in the hotel room where I reside. I may also have clients meet me at the hotel perhaps several times during my stay. Is there any legal ramifications to conducting my business in this manner?

JASSI SACHDEV LAW OFFICES OF JASSI S. SACHDEV, P.C.

There are two main issues. One is hotel issue - Even though it may be legal - check with the hotel regarding their policy to store goods. What kind of goods - be prepared to answer and they'll tell you whether or not they'll allow it.

Other is the jurisdiction. You understand that by doing business in a state - you could be subject to laws of the state. Familiarize yourself with such laws that would affect your products and liabilty arising from them - their use and misuse. Or hire a lawyer from each jurisdiction where you conduct business
