Consent requirements for posting email to a website

I have had e mail correspondence with the Mayor of my city. He was not forthcoming with answers in his first reply so I pressed him in a second e mail for answers, and he finally relented and half answered my questions.

Can I post our e mail exchange, without his consent or knowledge, to a website which focuses on the performance of the city government?

You can if you didn't represent that your conversation was "off the record" and if you are absolutely certain that you accurately display the entire conversation. But he could still sue you if he wants. It doesn't mean he'll win, but he can try.
