Legal Question in Technology Law in Michigan

Software Copying

Software version used for a testing instrument is no longer sold or supported by vendor.

Is it legal to make additional copies of the software to use on additional instruments?

Re: Software Copying

The question turns on whether the license allows multiple copies of the same software to be running contemporaneously on various pieces of equipment. This question I cannot answer since I do not have a copy of the software licesing agreement that you signed or acknowledged when you first loaded the software.

Check with the vendor to see if they will allow this since the software is no longer commercially available.

Good Luck!!!
