After 10 years can a debt collection company sue me?

On a consumer debt, the statute of limitations is six years. If you last used the card and/or made a payment more than six years ago, the statute of limitations has expired and the creditor can probably no longer collect the debt.

Yes, but it depends upon your state and the debt.
