Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

joint loan

my ex and I got a joint personal loan to buy a motorcycle in South Carolina where we lived at the time. Their has not been a payment since I left South carolina in June. Since that time he has moved to the same state with the bike. I have tried to contact him but he's not comunicating with me about paying the bike and I don't want to have bad credit or pay for something that isn't in my possesion. Is there anyway that I can get the bike and sell it to pay off the loan?!

(Please do not rely on this communication which does not create an attorney-client relationship and which is intended merely as a discussion of legal principles and is not to be relied upon.)

You would do well to make the payments and sue him for his share and this is probably the only way you could get the bike.
