a lawyer will be appointed at that hearing if he requests one. an arraignment is simply a formality and courts are required to have them quickly.

A lawyer is not required for an arraignment. What is your husband charged with? What county is your husband charged in?

No, you don't need a lawyer if your husband is not incarcerated for a serious crime. The magistrate's decision for bond is based upon your husband's crime, his prior criminal record, his ties to the community, and the risk to the public.

You didn't mention the crime, but if it's domestic assault, you'd better show up at the arraignment if you want him back in the home.

He cannot have a court appointed lawyer at the arraignment
