Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

My friends and some other kids have gone back and forth with harmless pranks but now one kid came up to me and my friend in our car and said if we didn't get out, he would do "bad things" so we got out and he took our car. Even if he gives it back what laws has he broken/ what can I charge him with?

It would depend on what you thought he meant by "bad things." From the sounds of things, it appears that you just let him take it with implied permission. You can always contact the police and have them file a report to see if they believe any charges should be forthcoming.

You cannot charge anybody with anything, ever. Only the prosecuting attorney can charge a person with a crime in Michigan. However, if you honestly believed that you were being threatened with harm if you didn't get out of the car, you should immediately contact the police to file a report. They will take it from there.
