Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Suspended license

I apologize if this doesn't fit under the ''criminal'' category, but I wasn't sure where to put my question. My boyfriend received a ticket in 2000 for a cracked taillight. He did not receive a ticket for that so it was never paid. He and I got pulled over last summer for speeding and he was told his license was suspended so he got another ticket for driving on a suspended license. He never went to jail. I am wondering since he has two tickets to pay now, does he have anything to worry about other than paying these tickets? Is there a chance he might have to serve time, or can he just pay it and pay for the reinstatement fee for his license?

Re: Suspended license

It is impossible to answer your question without checking into the criminal case (which was the suspended license case.) He should consult with a criminal defense attorney to get this cleared up right away.
