Re: Pain and suffering

Pain and suffering can be measured in a number of ways. As much as possible, it is best to come up with some objective measure of what she suffered. Did she give up a job? Spend money on him? Did her relationship with him change the trajectory of her life in some way? Did she not continue her education because of him?

You need to answer questions like these to give support for the number you come up with. And while you need to be aggressive, you also need to be realistic in order to reach a settlement.
