Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Absent father of 5 1/2 years wants visitation

My ex husband and his new wife have stated to his family they are going to fight for visitation of our 7 yr old son and maybe custody.

Ex husband has not seen son in 5 1/2 years. Son has multiple medical, behavioral, and sensory issues that we are currently working on with doctors. Doctors has warned me that fathers return could and may send sons behavioral issues out of control. Ex husband does not know of these due to his absence. History is prior to this gone for 11 month, seen son for 2 visits, prior to that was gone between 3 to 5 months with sporadic visits since our separation and divorce.

What is the chance to get supervised visitation until he proves he has son's best interest in mind? And will follow doctors orders to give prescribed medication, and allergist orders that child not be smoked around or near?

I know that he will get some sort of visitation and have never denied him seeing him, but worry this will cause more mental and emotional damage to a sensitive child, I need guidance.

Thank you for your assistance in advance.
